This is a live game brought to you by Evolution Gaming, arguably the very best live casino provider there is.
The game of blackjack is unchanged here, and although there are two side bets to use if you want to, the real niche element of Blackjack Party is the atmosphere it tries to create.
Two dealers run the game, chatting with each other and the players, and there will sometimes be music too. All in all, they try to create a more upbeat vibe.
There are seven seats at the table and players who don’t have a seat can ‘bet behind’ those who do, adding to the ‘party’ atmosphere, as many player will win or lose based on the actions of whoever is seated and actually playing the hand.
How to Play Blackjack Party
Although the rules of the game are pretty standard, the way the game is played is a little different as it uses the ‘Bet Behind’ function.
There are seven seats at the table and only one player can play the hand at each seat. This means once the table is full your only option is to bet behind and wait for a seat to become available. To do this you just bet on the corresponding area as highlighted in green here:
When you bet behind, you are betting on the outcome of that specific hand but you do not have any say in how the hand is played, only the seated player can do that, so your bet is at their mercy.
For this reason, it is best to watch a few rounds and see which player seems to be making the wisest choices. There is also a golden medal symbol next to each seated player’s name, denoting how many hands they have won in a row which is very useful. Here it is below:
As you can see, emreaker42 has won 4 hands in a row, so maybe they are the best person to bet behind.
Rules
As we said, the actual rules are fairly standard, but here are the main things to know before you play:
- 8 decks used.
- Dealer stands on 17.
- Double down on any two initial cards.
- No doubling after split.
- One split per hand only.
- Split Aces only dealt one further card.
So nothing earth shattering there. Payouts are the standard 1:1 for a win and 3:2 for blackjack too.
However, the side bets have different payouts as follows:
Perfect Pairs
Outcome | Payout |
---|---|
Mixed Pair | 6:1 |
Coloured Pair | 12:1 |
Perfect Pair | 25:1 |
21+3
Outcome | Payout |
---|---|
Flush | 5:1 |
Straight | 10:1 |
3 of a Kind | 30:1 |
Straight Flush | 40:1 |
Suited Trips | 100:1 |
RTP
When all is taken into account the theoretical return to player percentage of Blackjack Party is 99.39%.
Each side bet has its own RTP, with Perfect Pairs coming in 95.90% at and the 21+3 side bet being 96.30%.
Celebrity Blackjack Party
There is another version of this game with the word ‘celebrity’ in the title.
This isn’t a game run by or played with celebrities, unfortunately, rather the chat is focused on celeb gossip and news.
The rules of the game are the same, it just looks a little different and has a specific topic of conversation. A little bit like the old AOL chat rooms.
